It's Friday!

It's Friday, and I don't have class tomorrow for my Master's.  I am one happy girl! I will be sleeping in late, and avoiding the laundry monster in the corner of our bedroom.  TPS has an event to attend during the day tomorrow, so I'll be home by myself for the better part of the day.  We plan to visit his family and spend some quality time with them.  Church is Sunday, and we'll be back toe hustle and bustle on Monday.  Very low key weekend, and it is much needed and appreciated!

Life is good!

The Lord has really been moving in the Johnson family as of late, and we are so thankful for it.  TPS is beginning his last months of classroom training before starting his clinicals in January.  School hasn't improved, but my outlook has without a doubt.  I have been praying without ceasing, asking God to improve my vision of my workplace.  He has certainly done that.  He has helped me to see things in perspective, and reminded me that if He takes care of the birds that He will continue to take care of me!

It's Been a long time...I shouldn't have let you...

yes, the title of this post is the intro to an Aaliyah song, but it's the first thing to pop in my head.  I have been away far too long!

School is back in session (has been for awhile), and I'm wrapping up the end of Fall Break.  (BOO!)  However, all is well at the Johnson house.  TPS is finishing his last quarter in the "classroom" and will be spending the better part of winter at various clinicals and preparing for his boards.  I am so proud of my future medical professional.  He is going to make such an awesome PTA.

Got lots of news to share, but I'm waiting on God to reveal the right time.  He is an all knowing and absolutely amazing.  His love truly overwhelms me.  He has been by my side, even when I didn't realize it or acknowledge it.

Great things to come very soon!

Tear....It's the End of the Year!!!

I haven't posted in awhile due to so much craziness.  With the end of the school quickly approaching, and all the paperwork that goes along with it, this teacher is exhausted. We hav 2 1/2 school days left, but I have so much to get done bewteen now and then.  Here's praying that it all gets done.

Tomorrow is the End of Year Celebration for my sweet kiddies, and we are planning a BIG party.  We are going to have wii's, good food, movies, and plenty of games. The kids are so excited, and they should be.  They have worked so hard this year, and have made so many gains. I am so proud to have been their reading and language arts teacher this year.

Yearbooks have arrived and they are selling like hot cakes.  I love seeing how the year progressed in the glossy pages of an annual.  I have signed several yearbooks, and am currently looking at a pile while I type this.  Guess I better go, and get to it.

Easter 2011

I love holidays.  I don't know why, but I just do.  I especially love holidays that represent my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  To know that God gave his only Son so that I may have everlasting life just amazes me.  God loves us SO MUCH!  It truly is hard to fathom how big and wonderful the love is that God has for His children.  I am just so thankful!

TPS and I decided to celebrate this special day with his side of the family.  In previous posts, I have mentioned just how much I love his family.  I love my family as well (that goes without saying), but being a new wife, and being apart of a new family is different.  And I am just so appreciative of how his family took me in, and how loving, kind, caring, and welcoming they are to me.  That being said, TPS and I packed up our Easter gear and headed down the interstate to Hendersonville.  We had alot to do that morning, and weren't able to make it to Hendersonville until about 6:00.  My mother-in-law surprised us with movie tickets to see "Madea's Big Happy Family".  It wasn't as good as the play, but Tyler never disappoints.  We laughed alot, and really enjoyed ourselves.

After the movie, we headed to back to my in-laws' house and just hung out. It was nice relaxing evening.  the next morning, we woke up and attened worship service at St. Phillip AME in Nashville.  Once again, I got to hear my father-in-law preach, and it was AMAZING as always. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, my father-in-law truly is a man of God, and God uses him in some tremendous ways! After church service, we ate Easter dinner at Rafferty's and hung out at the house until 8.  Though it stormed and rained, it was a still a beautiful day to celebrate the rising of our Savior.

Thunder, lightning, and school closing, OH MY!

Unless you have been hiding under a rock, and/ or live across the world, then you are very well AWARE of the weather here in the south.  We have had several severe thunderstorms and tornadic activity for the several days now.  Weather was so bad yesterday that we didn't attend schools.  Crazy....I know.  What did this crazy girl once she was notified of the school closing?  You guessed it, went back to sleep.   After sleeping in, I went to Cracker Barrell.  Good eats!!!!

After revealing to Cynthia the Great (my sweet mama) about my whereabouts, she gave me the what for! OOPS!  Mama was not happy with her babygirl being out and about during the storms.  In my defense:  Cracker Barrell was so worith it!  HA

Here is what the sky looked like in good ol' TENNESSEE:

Believe me, I hightailed it home once I saw this!

Man,  the sky sure does look ANGRY!  Not cool, Mother Nature, not cool!
